How do I know when my house should be repainted?

Interior: If your walls are getting dull and dirty, beat up by kids, pets, or moving, it could be a great time to update your home, or if you just want a change of color!

Exterior: If your exterior wood is looking dry, you need to put a coating on before the wood starts to “dry rot”. Fading and peeling are also signs of your house needing painted or stained.

How much does it cost to repaint my house?

There are many variables that go into this. Such as how large or small, how much prep work, (scraping, sanding, repairs, caulking, powerwashing) How many coats of paint/stain is needed, any specialty finishes/requests.

How long will it take to repaint my house?

This will also vary depending on size, amount of prep, and number of coats. The average job will usually take between 2-5 days.

Can I live in my house while it is being painted?

Yes! We do many repaints on interior and exteriors while the home is lived in and updated. We take care to properly prep all areas and work with you to make sure you feel comfortable while having us work on your home.

Who will need to supply the paint?

We generally will supply all paint and materials needed unless requested by you, the homeowner.

What type of paint do you use?

I use high quality Sherwin-Williams paints unless the homeowner requests a different product.

How much does a quote cost?

We offer free estimates!

How many coats do you use?

This will vary for each project. One coat if just needing to be refreshed. I generally recommend two coats with any color change or exterior project.

What finish do you use?

Depending on each project and the condition of the walls, we will use flat, matte, or satin.

What do customers need to do for prep?

Exteriors: Nothing!

Interiors: We only ask you to remove any fragile décor and wall hangings. Closets may need to be emptied if being painted.

What prep work do you do before painting?

All surfaces needing protection will be covered with plastic and/or drop cloths. Any sanding, caulking, repairs will all be done prior to painting.

What weather conditions are you able to paint in?

Interior: All! There are many paints with little to no scent that can be used if it is too cold to open windows.

Exterior: I guarantee all of my work will last, I will only paint if the low temp will be 45+ degrees.
